Midnight Health co-founders and joint CEOs, Nic Blair and Matt Anderson, said today the digital health company, which is 80% owned by nib Group (ASX: NHF), will move closer to nib to further align both companies’ interests.
Midnight Health, launched in 2021, has been used by more than 226,000 Australians to date, including those living in some of Australia’s most remote postcodes. It provides medical advice and prescription medications for a wide range of men’s, women’s and non-binary health issues, including weight management, hair loss and sexual disfunction.
Midnight Health intends to merge its operations with those of Honeysuckle Health, nib’s data science and health management company. Honeysuckle Health, formerly a joint venture between nib Group and Cigna, is now wholly owned by nib, and sits closer to nib’s core health business under the leadership of Rhod McKensey, Honeysuckle Health Chief Executive.
The intended merger allows Midnight Health to leverage strategic growth opportunities across a newly created wider network, in the delivery and access to health care for Australians. Midnight Health will also lower operating costs through shared business services and marketing.
Mr Blair said he expects that with greater collaboration between Midnight Health and nib, and under the leadership of Rhod McKensey, Midnight Health will find deep opportunities for growth.
“Our ambition is to remain a key driver of access to health for many Australians,” Mr Blair said. “We look forward to working more closely with Honeysuckle Health and nib to achieve that together.”
